Natural surroundings, a huge inspiration for the art of Drillworks

Drillworks studio is based in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, with beautiful and natural surroundings being a constant source of inspiration. You may often see this carried through in some of the images used in the artwork.

Being out in the country also gives me the opportunity to Drill for hours on end, which at the best of times can be a noisy process!

Depending on the size of the commissioned Artwork, obviously depends on how many thousands of drilled holes I will need to produce.

For very large projects, I make up the total size with individual panels which are then pieced together. So as long as the pieces all fit in the studio space there is really no limit to the size of a finished project.

Mechanical straight lines, rippling flows, expanding circles, mosaic like grids, the list goes on for the creative possibilities when creating a Drillworks image.
